me

I'm a Christian. I'm a wife. I'm a mother to a miracle baby who is the sweetest little girl on the planet. A mother to four little angels in Heaven.

My faith is very important to me, but I'm also of the mindset that faith shouldn't separate people. I am ridiculously open and will talk to you about anything, including my faith.

My struggle to become a mother is always at the forefront of my mind. Infertility helped define me. I am the woman I am today because of that struggle.

I also believe my marriage is the marriage it is today because of that struggle. Infertility can destroy a marriage, I'm so glad mine made it through even stronger.

I'm a daughter, a sister, a granddaughter, and a friend.
I laugh a lot. If I'm uncomfortable at all, I'll laugh. This is why you'll see me laughing at wedding, speeches, and funerals. When most people cry, I laugh. I can't help it.

My family is my heart and soul. I blog about them a lot, because they're my world.
I married my best friend in 2005 and have spent the last 5 1/2 years trying to figure out how to be a wife. I've spent a little over a year trying to figure out how to be a Mom.

I'm still working on both.

I like nothing more than being out on the water. The smell of marsh grass makes my heart ache for home. The way you feel after being out at the beach all day, all burnt and sandy, makes me smile. I love it.

When the weather gets above 70, my car windows go down and the radio goes up. Same goes for the Fall. After the summer when the temps cool off, windows go back open and radio goes back up.

I'm a true Southern girl. I love college football "Go Dawgs", church, family, sweet tea, oyster roasts and cold beers, and a baby in sweet, smocked clothes.

I like a front porch. With a rocking chair. Know where I can get one?

Mr. Perfect
He's the head of our household. He works fifty hours a week to provide BG and I the opportunity to stay home together. He comes home and cooks and still manages to bathe the kiddo at night. He is amazing.

He's quiet. He's fiercely loyal to his friends and family. He puts up a hard shell, but he's a big 'ol softie. He promised me years ago that he would stick by my side until I became a Mother. He did.

He's my best friend. He's the love of my life and the best Daddy BG could ever ask for. He's my Mr. Perfect.

Baby Girl

It took us years to become parents to this little girl, but she was more than worth the wait.

She's feisty. She's hard headed. She's fiercely independent.
She's also quick to run over and throw herself in your arms to "give some loves". She loves giving big open mouthed kisses. She adores our pup Cash. She calls every cat "dada" which makes Mr. P crazy. I think it's hysterical.

Every single day is different with her. She manages to get into things that you would never even imagine one could get into. She loves her baby doll and will play with her for hours. I love watching her play.

She's our world. We love her so hard it hurts.
