3 months.

Baby Girl turned 3 months old on Saturday. I'm sure I'll say it every month, but she is growing up way too fast! Although I have to say, I like this stage so much more than the newborn stage. While I miss how tiny and precious she was, I love how she interacts with us now. She steals our heart a little more every day!

  • She officially thinks she's a "big girl". She doesn't want to be cradle held unless she is beyond tired. She also must be sitting up at all times when she's awake. She will cry if you try to hold her like a baby. She wants to be at 90 degrees constantly. Makes eating out a little harder now because she wants to be in your lap the whole time.

  • She holds her head up like a pro during tummy time now. It's still not her favorite way to pass the time, but she'll hang out like that for about 10 minutes now before she gets mad.

  • She's rolled over once from front to back at my friend C's house on the twenty-second. Hasn't been interested in doing it since. *ETA: She rolled over again on the morning of the 4th.. but that would technically be in her next months recap..*

  • She is a smiling and laughing machine! She is always smiling!! She laughs the most at Mama when I'm making funny faces. I'm the best at getting her going, but she's getting to where she's laughing out loud at more things.

  • She's now constantly putting her feet straight out and putting her weight down. If you pick her up, she'll go stiff as a board til you put her feet back down on the ground. Where did my little baby go?!

  • We tried out her Baby Einstein jumper/exersaucer thing this past month and while she's not quite big enough, she kind of loves it.

  • She is a head holding up pro. People remark often about how she seems older than 3 months because she can hold her head up so well. She's my strong, big girl!

  • She cuddles up against our necks when she's tired and it is quite possibly my favorite thing she does.

  • We weighed her and measured her yesterday, and we're thinking she's about 15 pounds 2 ounces and 25 inches long. She's wearing all 3-6 month clothes and 6 months in most. She's very long. She outgrows onesies and rompers almost weekly because she gets too long.

  • She's eating 4 1/2 ounces of formula five times a day. She eats 6 ounces of b*reastmilk once a day. She still eats every 3 hours. She's still taking about 4 small naps a day and sleeping every night from about 9:30 til 6 am. She occasionally wakes up at four am, but talks herself back to sleep.

  • She is absolutely precious when she wakes up. She's all smiles and stretches so big. I wish I was that happy in the morning...

  • She is a drooling machine. And has to put everything in her mouth.

  • She fights sleep so hard. At night when I rock her, she kicks, she thrashes, and she cries just trying to stay awake. She quits eventually but the girl hates to sleep. Where did we get her?!

  • She is absolutely the light of our life. She has changed our lives in such a great way. We love you darling!
