Oh The Weather Outside Is Frightful...

Yes. I know it's not Christmas. But have you been outside?!? It's FREEZING! Even down here. So I can only imagine what some of you are going though!! This weekend was simply lovely though. I worked late (drag that out and sound really whiny) on Saturday. Helping out with inventory junk so we didn't get anything productive done at the house. Mr. Perfect got off early, but I'm pretty sure he made nice with the couch the rest of the day!

So when I got home on Saturday, we decided a quiet nite in would be on the menu. So we headed out! But just to our friend's house for game nite. Mad Gabs was played and KT and I rocked it! But I didn't keep score or anything... Sunday was super nice, so after church we packed up the camera and Lacy and headed downtown for the afternoon. .:: I promise we treat all the dogs equally, but Cash has bad hips and can't walk for long, and Duke's hound and would be all over the place so usually Lacy wins when we're going to be in public! ::. We live in one of the most beautiful places on the planet. Seriously. I'm not biased, you can look in any guidebook and it will say that. It's also a historic landmark. We had a blast just walking around and doing the "tourist" thing. While we were in the Colonial Cemetery checking out Button Gwinnett's grave, we got into a little discussion about the Civil War... Oh boy. I'll argue with a gnat just so you know, so of course Mr. Perfect and I got into a "tiff" about the War. My little Carolina boy told me that the only reason Sherman didn't burn Savannah was we gave up to easily to which in turn I made some remark about South Carolinian's already dipping out before Sherman even got to Charleston.. I don't know. I was just spouting off!! You should see a Georgia girl and a Carolina boy argue about the war as if they'd been there.. It's ridiculous! Poor lady walking her cocker spaniel next to us looked as if she couldn't get away fast enough!! Don't worry.. No punches were thrown!! And the South made peace again over some good food later!!

Yeah.. so I live in a gorgeous place!

That was pretty much our Sunday.. Honestly we watched almost zilch of the Superbowl.. I don't really follow NFL football and Mr. Perfect doesn't at all. So he played on the computer while I reorganized my closet(s) all through the game!! What a wild bunch we are!!

Pearly Whites

My baby girl got her "grill" cleaned today!!! She's got pearly whites again!! Let me clarify. My dog (aka: baby girl) had a dental done today (got her grill cleaned). She's still a little trippy on her drugs right now so this will be short as she needs me! (Seriously, I will be a wreck when I have the two-legged children!). And I got the dental for a 100% discount since I did it. What what?!? I love my job!

I'm simply dying to see "He Just Not That Into You" this weekend. Mr. Perfect says it can't possibly be good. He has this idea that if you have that many "big names" in a movie, it usually stinks. I say "Hello?!? Have you seen Bobby?!" Awesome movie. Highly recommended by this girl. I'm going with two of the best's, Turs & KT, and will be inviting the new girl at my work to go with us. She just moved here from the Midwest and has been insanely homesick lately. I got a prescription for that: super girl time! Fixes everything! Dinner and drinks will round out Friday nite nicely...

My parents and the in-laws will be coming to town this weekend. What is the reason for this lovely visit.... dum dum dum.. Mr. Perfect and I are being baptised and finally joining a church!! Yay! I'm super excited. And nervous. When I was little I was baptised, but didn't really know what I was doing. As I was going up the stairs to the baptism pool, I got my elbow stuck between the rail and the wall. Of course I panicked because it wouldn't come out! My mom was back there with me also trying to get my arm out. So the preacher calls down for us to come on up. But we can't. So then he's down there helping too. By this time, I'm panicking. In a childlike, over the top, super LOUD way! By the time they got my arm free and I made it to the pool, EVERYONE in the church had heard us! I got applause. I bowed. That's not how a baptism should go. Oh please don't let anything that bad happen again! Tangent over. I'm back. So as I was saying.. I get nervous. All those people staring at me. But that's not what its about either. I can't wait to do this.. Pray for us please as we make the public statement about the change in our lives. And pray it goes off without a hitch!

I'm so glad I'm on this walk with my Mr. Perfect.. The best thing God's given to me...

Happy Groundhog Day!

So word on the street is that 'ol Punxsutawney Phil (yea.. say that) saw his shadow today. Boo. Supposedly 6 more weeks of winter. Not a fan. However, down here in the South we have another groundhog. His name's Beaux. Maybe. I talk like I know what I'm talking about but really I'm just repeating what the radio guy said! But I digress. Apparently 'ol Beaux didn't see his shadow. So here comes Spring. I'm going with that one! Because I'm over the cold weather. And by cold weather I mean high's in the 50's and rainy.. Sorry poor folks up North, but that's just downright cold to me and I can't take it! So I'm with Beaux. Bring on the sun!!

In other news... It's my father-in-laws birthday today! Happy Birthday Mr. G! I got so lucky in the in-law dept. I love laughing at other people stories of their in-laws but I never really have any of my own. Not that I want them!! My poor dadnlaw (I just shortened that. Excuse the grammar!) had 2 boys that never shared his interest in sports. Well in walks Megs. And she's a huge fan. So I love just sitting with my dadnlaw talking about the Braves, the Dawgs, the Cocks (we can't all be perfect GA fans ;) ), and whoever else. He's a great man who raised the best man ever! And I'm not at all biased. =)

I just drooled a little..

Even though I just ate another Krispy Kreme doughnut(I seriously have a problem people!), I just got hungry again by looking at Mrs. Mojito's Valentines Day Giveaway! The gym does you no good when you have all this deliciousness beating you in the face. Check it out though! It's positively drool worthy!

Ok this might be older than time! This is actually my friend Brad and I our junior year of high school (that should tell you how many pictures I have on this computer!) in an English class I think. Last week of school so we were definitely not doing anything productive. Funny.. I look back at this picture and remember how fat I used to think I was in high school.. Oh the days before the Freshman 15 (or 30!). I'm actually still friends with this kid too. We went through a lot together during college and aren't as close but he's a cool cat. Ahh the memories...
