Well, it's been one week since Baby Girl came home and turned our world upside down. It's been one heck of a ride.
My poor child was given some bad formula at the hospital our last night there (long story), so when her pediatrician saw her, he prescribed her some special formula to help with her digestive tract. He wanted us to supplement formula with my b-milk til it came fully in.
So we've been doing that. Baby Girl likes to sleep during the day. She usually feeds off me about once an hour. Yes, exhausting. Sometimes she'll make stretch it out to two hours. If its a time we give her formula, she'll sleep for about 3-4 hours, but we've been told to wake her up at two. We haven't been doing that at night. Yes, bad parents, but otherwise all 3 of us will be zombies.
Baby Girl is actually a pretty laid back baby, beside the fact that she's always hungry. You can put her in her swing, bouncy chair, or Moses basket and she's content. She doesn't really like to be in her cradle in our room, but we think it's because its too cold back there for her. She will not stay swaddled! She hates being confined.
Her first bath was quite the experience. She was not a fan. But Mr. Perfect was awesome and got her cleaned up in record time.
A friend of mine had told us there was a tip for checking her diaper without taking it completely off. She said to peek in there and see if you saw a BM, and if not, just stick the tip of your finger in there to see if its wet. Somehow Mr. Perfect only heard half of that. He got quite the surprise...
We've been to her first pediatrician visit. Just like both times her doc met her in the hospital, she screamed absolute bloody murder. She does that sometimes.. She had gotten down to 7 lbs. 3 ounces before we left the hospital and at her first visit, she was back up to 7' 9 and was 20 3/4 inches long. He didn't have to tell me shes growing. I have to feed her! We were given some drops for her digestive issues but other than that, she's a perfectly healthy little girl. We go back in 3 weeks for shots. Mom is so not looking forward to that...
Quite the busy week. But.. she's totally worth it. I can't even describe how much I love this child...
1 week old!

That picture of Mr. Perfect with his finger up in the air is AWESOME! Your girl is adorable - so tiny!
Gosh, we are still so much alike. That shot of your daughter sleeping in the Boppy pillow is hysterical only because that's what Jude does from sun up to sun down...and then he's wide awake.
Interesting how she sleeps longer on formula when we've been told the opposite.
Feed every hour? How are your nipples not bloody stumps? Lol...do you pump? How much do you feed her per feeding?
We should come up with questionnaire for our babies that we fill out weekly.
She is beautiful! You guys look like such awesome parents :) The picture of Mr. Perfect is hilarious!
I laughed out loud at Mr Perfect's not-so-perfect way of checking Baby Girl's diaper! Glad to see you're getting on well, she's so pretty and you look great!
