Bring it on 2010

I'm not really one for New Years Resolutions. Might have something to do with my little problem called a lack of sticktoitofness. But seeing as how 2010 already has some pretty big changes in store for me, I thought I'd make a list of some things I would really like to work on.

Then I thought I'd put it out on the internet in hopes of being forced to actually stick to them. So here goes.

1) Get more involved in our church. It's very important to both Mr. Perfect and myself that Baby Girl is raised in a church with a supportive church family. We started the year off right by heading to Sunday School and church this morning. This is a foundation that she needs and is so easy for us to build for her.

2) Figure out a family budget.. and stick to it. We're actually really good at making budgets, it's the sticking to them we have problems with. We need to get back to making out tithes and our savings a priority, not something we do when we "think about it".

3) Work on being a better "housewife". Mr. Perfect does all of our cooking and I do most of the cleaning. However, I've been quite slack lately and I feel like I need to do a better job of keeping our house running. I know I'll never be one of those amazing stay at home moms that has it all together, because that is just so not me, but I do want to have a house that is a well oiled machine and one that I keep running.

4) Come April, I want to get back into my running and get back in shape. I so miss running and I can't wait to get back out there. I have a few races that I'm already looking into doing and want to add a few more as I see fit. Hopefully I'll get the amazing jogging stroller I'm currently lusting over, and this will be something Baby Girl and I can do together.

5) Figure out exactly what I want from my career. My job situation right now sucks. I need to get this figured out soon and am not really sure what I want to do. Hopefully this year will finally be the one where I grow up and make a decision about what I really want to do when I grow up. Gah, scary.

That's it folks. Not trying to be super ambitious or anything, just really want to make some big changes for this year. So bring it 2010. I am so ready for you.

Best of luck on your resolutions :-) I know what you mean about being better with around-the-house chores. We pretty well split things down the middle, but I still feel guilty about not doing more!

And I wish you all the best with your budget. I absolutely LOVE our budget, and can't say enough about sticking to one :-)
