Heading into the kitchen from the front hallway
Looking into the kitchen from the hallway
The stove- the only appliance we've replaced so far. Because it made us.
I love the backsplash.. We actually want to put slate tiles up eventually, but Mr. P did this all by himself and I really like it. But out with the old...
Also, notice that little black spot on the counter? Those used to be sunglasses. Expensive sunglasses. Apparently our pup prefers Costas to Target sunglasses. So does your Mom son, so does your Mom...
The eat-in area. That we never eat at. We sit on the couch in front of the TV. 'Cause we're classy like that. I need new place settings. I was over the old ones and can't just put "any" up there. They have to be perfect. I don't think they've been made yet.
Also that little cabinet on the right has got to go. Right now it holds wedding memorabilia and used to be in our room til we redid it. Now I'm working on another project for the stuff in it and that cabinet will be peacing out. Sorry Mom.
The green bag under it? Holds trees. Yea. I know. But the Mr. threatened my life if I touched it. Apparently they're waiting to be planted.....
My Menu board which I lurve.. And my ducks. I have a strange love for these guys even though I'm terrified of all birds. I would be terribly upset if they disappeared.
The baker's rack. I have a collection (while small) of cookbooks. Ask me how many I've opened. Or even know where they came from. We have more than a small collection of games. The hubs and I love some games. There's Trooper too. Swimming his way over to wish you all hello. I think this might be his first intro on the blog.. Poor fish.
It's really bothering me that the games aren't all straight on the shelf. I must go fix that.
A view of the whole (small) kitchen.
Another view.
Wow, embarrassing. Is my calendar still seriously on November?!?
And the pantry... with the Goldfish. Is there a better snack?!
Our house is pretty old so our kitchen doesn't really go with today's needs. We try to keep it as clutterfree as possible, only keeping out the coffeemaker. It would be ridiculous to pull that out everyday! Apparently it's a real bummer to try and cook in such a small kitchen. Mr. Perfect has said in his next house we will have a much bigger one!!
Let me know if you did this so I can come check out your kitchen!

I wish I had a pantry that was like that! We have our food in our cabinets. I might join in on this next friday - we'll see! Oh, and how cool is it Kelly commented on your blog! It's like a real-life blog-celebrity!:)
I love that your perfect place setting hasn't been made yet. I can relate.

Your kitchen is lovely... I love the red & white. I also love that you 'bother' your husband while he cooks... I do the same!!
