Myrtle Beach {part one}

A couple weeks ago, we traveled down to Myrtle Beach. But it wasn't for just a beach visit, though visit the beach we did. It was actually for a pretty important event that I wouldn't have missed for the world.

You see, my baby brother got married. And there was no way on the planet I was missing that.

So we packed up on a Thursday afternoon and headed to the coast. After a quick stop to see Mr. P's parents, we headed to the brother and his fiancee's house for dinner.

The next morning was the wedding day! And it was gorgeous.

We headed over to Uncle Marine's house for a bit to drop off some baby stuff and to just spend some time with him before the wedding. This was also the first weekend we'd all been together since January as he just got home from overseas. It was so good to just hang out and talk some. Even if I had to ride to the freaking dump with him to get some brother/sister chit chat time.

After a nap (for BG) and some quiet time for her parents, it was time to head down to Brookgreen Gardens for the wedding. And there really are no words for what a sweet ceremony it was and how special it was so I'll just let the pictures tell the story..

Making it official..

And then just like that, they were married. And our family grew big time.

The rest of the afternoon was perfection as we strolled around the gardens just looking around and chit chatting with our new family members. The gardens were gorgeous. Absolutely gorgeous.

After dinner with Kiki's family, we headed back to the condo where we relaxed for a little bit before hitting the beach for a bit (which my child hated, but you'll hear about later).

I have to admit, I was really not a fan of all these changes; my brother getting married, having a baby, and adding two new girls to our family. I'm not a fan of change. Duh. Everyone who knows me knows this. BUT I have definitely come around. There is no denying how happy my brother is, and really, that's whats important. So welcome to the family Kiki. We can't wait to meet y'alls little one!

I grew up not far from Pawley's Island. Brookgreen is one of my favorite places and Atalaya (across the road) is in my top three wedding locations! It looks like y'all had a blast!
