My Cat Hates Me.

A week in the bed/on the couch, has been tough.

The toughest part?

Trying to co-exist with our the husband's cat.

The other day, he took off running around like a chicken with his head cut off. Jumped on the bed, jumbled up all the covers, jumped on my stomach, jumped off the bed, then jumped right back on landing on my stomach.

All my incisions are on my stomach. I saw stars.

I think he's trying to kill me.

Honestly - cats scare me, and your cats eyes look a little devious in that picture! I hope you survive the rest of the recovery :)

Didn't you know that you're stepping all over the kitty's territory? My cat did the same thing when Husband and I moved in together. Kitty and I have been together for 13 years now and you would think after 11 years with Husband she would have warmed up to him before the big move in! She still has an attitude about him. If he upsets her she'll take it out on his pillow...

If our story is any indication, I would avoid that kitty cat for at least the next 8 years maybe?

I love the picture of your cat! That is such a cat face.

For my header, I use Photoshop (hubby's Christmas present :-P). I make a canvas of 1024 x 275 pixels, and pick a background color, that's my first layer. Next I download a free font from online for the title, and make the text layers next. After the text layers I find a free Photoshop brush for the side/background pictures and make them their own layer. Then I just mess around until it looks like I pictured it starting out... I'm not so good at it yet (my goal/inspiration is Dooce's banners at Dooce.com), but I'm learning slowly! Also, once I'm home this summer and have time for picture taking, I want to use more photography for my banners.

If you don't have Photoshop, I'd love to make a header for you sometime, you could just describe what you wanted and I could piece it together... I actually enjoy it and wouldn't mind a bit! (no strings attached, either :-P) Like I said, I'm not the best certainly, but it beats the text header that blogspot gives you. :)
