Total Weight Gained/Loss? ...and I'm humongous. I know I've gained weight this week, but I'm being an ostrich and not finding out til my next appt. Yes, head in the sand is my go to approach to all things negative in life..

Maternity Clothes: Broke down and did some Internet shopping. Bring on the elastic waistbands! Pretty much all that is comfortable is yoga pants and dresses with leggings. Which is why I've gone into hibernation seeing as how it's ridiculously cold here.

Sleep? What sleep?! I can't breathe when I lay down anymore and when I sleep on my side, Baby Girl practices her tae bo on that side. Plus, we're back to the getting up every couple of hours to head to the lavatory. It's super fun. It's also why I now go to bed about nine each night. Oh the coolness overwhelms....

Best Moment of the Week? Her cradle is here and is set up in our room! It's getting real here y'all...

Movement- all the time. I would love to know what body part is in my ribs. That part could shift a bit and I would be fine with it.. She likes to move under my ribs on the right side, and way down low by my bladder on the left, and usually at the same time. This kid is taking up some space y'all.

Food Craving- sweets, and I am so not a sweet person. Sunday at dinner I had them box up my dinner in a to go box and I had dessert instead. I realize that is not going to be okay anymore in a few months, but I'm loving it now.

Food aversions- I'm getting better at eating a variety of stuff. I read that she can taste all the different flavors in the amniotic fluid and will start to develop tastes for it or something like that. Anyway, I'm determined that she's not going to be as picky as me, so I'm taking one for the team.

Morning sickness?- none.

Gender- Baby Girl =)

Labor Signs- I believe the Braxton Hicks have made their arrival. All of a sudden my stomach will get really tense and hard and oddly contorted. It doesn't hurt, and it ends pretty quickly. Guess the 'ol uterus has started it's practice sessions....

Belly Button- still in, but that bubble I mentioned last week? Gotten a bit bigger. And why does my belly button look like a moon crater?! It's huge. It practically needs it's own zip code.

What I miss- Being able to get up easily. Being able to breathe. My thighs being normal looking.

What I'm looking forward to- my first shower is in two weeks!! Is it ridiculous that I'm now stalking our registry to see what people get us?! I am such a two year old.

Weekly Wisdom- I have none. Is that bad?! But I am exhausted. That'll work... sleep. Whenever you can. You probably need it.

Milestones- one more week and we're in the 3rd trimester. Holy moly Batman. This is actually coming to an end....

Christmas with the Kiddos

A few days after Christmas, my best friend, Jay, brought her kids over for us to do Christmas with them. Her kids, Mase and Lolee (my goddaughter) are absolutely precious and we had a blast hanging out with them for a bit. Mase thought that the Nerf blaster that Mr. Perfect and I got him was the coolest thing ever and Lolee agreed. I'm not sure she even realized we bought her anything! Mase, Mr. Perfect, and my Dad also had a blast playing with the toy helicopters that my Dad and Mr. Perfect got for Christmas.

Some pictures from our afternoon...

A few gifts that Jay got for our sweet Baby Girl.

Her first pair of shinguards!! I am in love!

Such a fun afternoon with some of my favorite kids! And I think that wraps up the Christmas posts. Totally surprised it didn't take me til Valentine's Day to finish these up!

addiction much?

I think my husband has a problem.

Seriously. I don't even drink Diet Coke....

Total Weight Gained/Loss? according to last doctors visit, up 10 from where I started, 15 altogether. I actually did much better than I expected, because y'all, I feel huge.

Maternity Clothes: Thankfully I work in scrubs and pretty much live in workout gear, or this would be a problem. See, I've only bought a few pieces and they are all I can wear comfortably. I think Mama needs to go shopping....

Sleep? Sleep has become quite the process. I start out on my left side and then Baby Girl heads to that side to practice her dance routine, so I switch. Once I switch sides, I need to pee, so I get up to do that. Get back in bed and lay on my side. She decides to play again. So I switch sides. She plays on that side, I debate whether I need to go to the bathroom again. Basically, we do this for about 2 hours before I am so exhausted and she is too and we both fall asleep. Someone needs to teach this kid that just because Mama has the tendency to be quite the night owl, doesn't mean she needs to be the same way.....

Best Moment of the Week? This week we had a little scare. Not a big deal, but I'm a nervous Mom. You can set a watch by this child's movement and the other night at bedtime I felt nothing. Now that is not a normal routine for us, so I got a little nervous. I felt nothing all night either, even when I would get up to go to the bathroom. The next morning... nothing. So I called the doc and the nurse had me chug a cold can of soda and lay down for 30 minutes on my left side. I felt a few faint movements but still nothing like normal. So I drag Mr. Perfect (who was perfectly willing to go do anything I needed to do- love him) up to the docs office to check on her. No lie. The nurse put the doppler on my stomach and she went nuts. Kicking, rubbing up against the dopppler. I felt like a moron. But she's fine, and I got to hear her little heartbeat again which I always love. Knowing she's okay makes me feel a ton better.

Movement- all the time. She loves my bladder and she loves my right rib cage. Oh child... I do love you, but I swear you're bruising my insides!

Food Craving- I love me some food. That is all. =)

Food aversions- still hate meat and seafood.

Morning sickness?- none. But can we talk about this back pain?!

Gender- Baby Girl =)

Labor Signs- none.

Belly Button- hanging on by a thread. This monkey is huge y'all and the top half now seems to be making it's way out and looks like it has a bubble in it.

What I miss- Not feeling humongous. My belly is officially getting in my way. It's getting hard to sleep at night because I can't get comfortable. My back hurts constantly and my legs cramp up at night when I try to sleep. I miss exercise and I miss having energy. Oh well.... Just a few more months...

What I'm looking forward to- Now that my two best friends have their daughters here, I'm just ready for her to be here. But not yet little one.. you keep growing and get nice and healthy!

Weekly Wisdom- Try to relax... This really is the toughest thing I've ever put my body through and I'm having a hard time dealing with these new little aches and pains. Sometimes you really do just need to sit down and relax and realize you just can't do the same things you could before. It will come back someday...

Milestones- can we just call every week we get to a milestone?!?

Bring it on 2010

I'm not really one for New Years Resolutions. Might have something to do with my little problem called a lack of sticktoitofness. But seeing as how 2010 already has some pretty big changes in store for me, I thought I'd make a list of some things I would really like to work on.

Then I thought I'd put it out on the internet in hopes of being forced to actually stick to them. So here goes.

1) Get more involved in our church. It's very important to both Mr. Perfect and myself that Baby Girl is raised in a church with a supportive church family. We started the year off right by heading to Sunday School and church this morning. This is a foundation that she needs and is so easy for us to build for her.

2) Figure out a family budget.. and stick to it. We're actually really good at making budgets, it's the sticking to them we have problems with. We need to get back to making out tithes and our savings a priority, not something we do when we "think about it".

3) Work on being a better "housewife". Mr. Perfect does all of our cooking and I do most of the cleaning. However, I've been quite slack lately and I feel like I need to do a better job of keeping our house running. I know I'll never be one of those amazing stay at home moms that has it all together, because that is just so not me, but I do want to have a house that is a well oiled machine and one that I keep running.

4) Come April, I want to get back into my running and get back in shape. I so miss running and I can't wait to get back out there. I have a few races that I'm already looking into doing and want to add a few more as I see fit. Hopefully I'll get the amazing jogging stroller I'm currently lusting over, and this will be something Baby Girl and I can do together.

5) Figure out exactly what I want from my career. My job situation right now sucks. I need to get this figured out soon and am not really sure what I want to do. Hopefully this year will finally be the one where I grow up and make a decision about what I really want to do when I grow up. Gah, scary.

That's it folks. Not trying to be super ambitious or anything, just really want to make some big changes for this year. So bring it 2010. I am so ready for you.
