life lately.

Life lately is absolutely positively insane.

There has been something going on every single weekend and weekdays are filled with work, school, and so many other shenanigans that most of the time Mr. P and I literally collapse into bed beyond tired some time way too late in the night only to have to get up and start all over again way too early in the morning.

Grown up life is a blast.
I have not been working out at all lately. Like at all at all. A few weeks ago, Mr. P and I joined my best friend and her family for a few hours of backyard soccer. He managed to tear up his back and I was literally so sore for the next week that the idea of using the bathroom was enough to make me cry. It was hella bad

So naturally, the bff and I signed up to play in our high school's alumni soccer game. Backyard soccer made me sore, surely I could survive 90 minutes of full on play with a bunch of high schoolers right?!

It was actually a total and complete blast. Was I sore? Absolutely. But the joy of playing high schoolers is that at the end of the game, I can relax with a cold beer and ignore my soreness. They can't.

Though they probably aren't sore. But whatever.

Baby Girl is growing up way too fast. The attitude, the sass; it's all SO much. But dare I say (knock on wood) that age 3 is actually shaping up to be much easier for us than age 2 was? Maybe because she hit her independent streak so dang early that we've already worked through some of that? I don't know. But I love this age.
I am sure that she will somehow find out that I wrote these words and she will make me pay, but right now her horn deserves to be tooted; she's all sorts of awesome. I adore that kid something fierce.

She has a current obsession with being just like her Mama and Daddy. Case in point, we bought her the cutest pair of Dora flip flops (she picked them) the other day. They have this strap that goes around the back of her ankle to keep them on her feet. The other day I noticed that she had pushed that strap all the way to the front of the shoe. After a bit of questioning I figured out that she didn't want to wear the strap because her Dad and my flip flops didn't have the strap. So we cut them off. Then we bought another pair which she promptly pushed the strap around the bottom. Point taken. Only "big girl" flops from here on out.

With every little change that's been happening lately (there's big news ahead), she's handled it with grace far beyond her years. She's a champ with a heart the size of Texas who absolutely adores those around her and doesn't hesitate to let them know that daily.

In "big news" land.... a couple of weeks ago a job opportunity presented itself to Mr. P. A job opportunity which would move us about two hours west of the sleepy little town we were currently residing in. It happened quick. Talk of the change started and about a week or so later, Mr. P resigned from his current job and took a new job.

In another little twist, he accepted a job with the same company I currently work for. So my job? remained intact. Well.. sort of.

He's currently running two offices for my company based out of the Charlotte area while I work sales for the company in Charlotte. And Florence. For now.

The coolest part? I'm now working sales with my best friend. And living five minutes from her in a small town outside of Charlotte. It's kind of awesome. And fun.

I have this mechanism in me that kind of shuts down when things get overwhelming. And all the change lately? Overwhelming. I know I didn't blog about the move, but I also didn't tell many people either. I told one of my closest friends I was moving while driving to the new town. Yes. I'm very, very odd but I was overwhelmed. And scared of all this change. And truth be told? a little bit sad about leaving the town I had zero desire to move to in the first place.

Hardest part? Hands down leaving sweet friends again. Leaving my clients who I kind of adore (even though I do get to go back once a week to work there). Leaving a dear friend who I never got to spend enough time with while there and leaving her sweet, sweet girl who I absolutely adored. Leaving another school and another little best friend that Baby Girl adored. And while it drove me crazy living next door to my in-laws, I will also miss having them close enough for E to spend the night with them or for them to keep her for a couple of hours.

BG put up a tiny bit of resistance when we talked about her "new school" but eventually got on board with the idea of making new friends and checking out a new school. She almost broke my heart when her little lip started quivering one morning as she said "Mommy, I like my school. I like my friends. I want to stay here." . Yes. I started sobbing.

But she bucked up and got a bit excited. Then she figured out that she could make people sad by saying "I'm leaving now!" all giddy. She can be a little evil. She got more excited if they fake cried.

She is so my child.
In the midst of the crazy, BG was surrounded by family to shower her with constant love and attention. She spent a couple of weeks surrounded by grandparents when my Mom came down for a bit. Then my amazing sister in law offered to take her for a few days and spoil her at the beach.

BG jumped at the chance to head to Aunt Kiki and Uncle Steve's house for a few days. So we packed her a suitcase and I drove her down to the beach for a few days while her Dad and I headed to the new town to attempt to get things a bit settled.

BG had an absolute blast. I snuck in a quick breakfast with my two favorite little girls before leaving BG and heading home. As per the usual, BG barely gave me a second glance as I walked out because she was far too busy playing with her little cousin.

The next few days were full of fun as her aunt and uncle took her for family dinners with Aunt Kiki's family, the water park, the children's museum, and even an alligator farm.
I almost had a stroke when they texted me a picture of my precious baby petting a snake. She did NOT get that desire from her Mama. This girl doesn't do snakes. Ever.

I was pretty sure that she was flat out going to refuse to come home. We tried to Face Time one night and she had zero desire to sit down and talk to her lame-o parents. She is growing way too fast. I am not a fan.

But come home she did. After a brief stop at her Granny and Grandaddy's. But now I have my girl back. And we're getting settled in a new town. In a new home. Well, we're trying. Eventually we might not be living out of boxes.

Eventually.

We tried a new church yesterday. It was good. This place could easily become home.

Things are crazy right now with work. It's odd working in the same company as the husband. We're working on ways to make work stop and "us" begin when we get home. We haven't figured it out yet but it's going to have to happen soon. Working with my best friend and my husband is a total blast, but sometimes I just need them to be my best friend and my husband; not my co-workers. Does that make sense?

It does. I'm just tired.

So that's life lately. How are you guys?

life is good today.

So very often it is far too easy to get tied down in the hard parts of life.

The stresses of work, the exhaustion of raising small children, the trying to keep a marriage hot and burning in the midst of a very, very busy life.

The phone never stops ringing, the laundry is never caught up, someone always needs something. There are days I open my email inbox to find too many unread emails to count. There are days when more people are screaming at me and pissed off at me than happy with me. When my toddler is just plain foul and wants nothing to do with anything having to do with listening to her Mama or even pretending to like me. It's good fun.

But then there are the rest of the days.

The days when your baby squeals "I love you MORE!" and bursts into giggles as she throws herself into your arms. The days when your husband of eight years feels like a newlywed again as you both giggle and share inside jokes that no one else will ever be privy to. When accounts close like they're supposed too and jobs go off without a hitch.

Life is good right now. It's not easy, no, that wouldn't be our way, but it's good.

There have been zoo trips and birthdays. My sweet niece turned one in a weekend that was full of family and friends and so much laughter. There have been soccer games and afternoons spent drinking cold beers and reminiscing with great friends.

Life is good today. Like really good.

And in the midst of all that, there have been changes. BIG changes. Which are actually really good but are huge and require a lot of patience and time. Neither of which I have a lot of but.. I'm learning.

Life is good today.

Change is inevitable. The older I get the more I learn that simple fact. The funny part is, when you have a really good life happening in the background, the changes just become something you learn to roll with. My life is good.

Now remind me of this post the next time my child is screaming at me or workers are cussing at me. I'll need this post to fall on then.

an update.

A bit of what's been going on lately.

I mentioned that right before Christmas, we spent an evening in the ER with Nursemaid's Elbow and then a couple of days later, noticed BG was rocking a fever. Well that kept up, so on Christmas Eve, we headed back up to the ER where she was diagnosed with the flu and pneumonia. Good times.

So she was one sick kiddo on Christmas. Mr. P ended up catching either the flu or some 24 hour thing, because he was also down for the count on Christmas. Fortunately he bounced back pretty quick, but BG has been "off" since.

We've battled breathing issues with her for a while now. We've been told numerous times that she has Reactive Airway Disease and she's been doing treatments for that for about two years now. I'm assuming the pneumonia triggered her RAD because she's been getting progressively worse for weeks now.

On Saturday, Mr. P and BG took a long walk through the woods and she stopped him numerous times and told him that she "needed to breathe Daddy". He ended up carrying her home and through the day Saturday, her cough flared up again and she got progressively worse.

By Sunday morning, she couldn't catch her breath she was coughing so hard and she just plain looked awful. So we aborted our trip to church and instead headed to Urgent care where she was diagnosed as having a full on asthma attack.

According to the doctor at Urgent Care, these frequent coughing fits she has have probably all been asthma attacks. I had no clue. I too have asthma problems, but an attack for me leaves me gasping for air and feeling like I can't breathe at all; not coughing. I felt awful for not getting this.

So we're following up with her doctor and treating her as if she does asthma. We're trying to figure out her triggers (anyone want a cat?? we think he may be one :(), we're trying new meds to see which ones might keep an attack at bay, and we're adding in fast acting inhalers for her to take to school and such. This bums me out big time as I don't want this to be a limitation on her.

Moms of toddlers/children with asthma: how did you figure out their "triggers"? We also think physical activity is one because after ten minutes of hard core play yesterday, she was in another full blown attack. But how do you keep a toddler calm?! This is so frustrating.

I can't wait for summer. Please let this sickness end.

Other than the asthma thing, BG is doing really well. She is growing way too fast and every single day I see less toddler and more little girl. I'll do an update on her soon.
Collage
I've been pretty blah lately and I really feel like I've been having some food issues. I've been working to cut out some items as I tend to have migraines and wake up feeling "hungover" if I eat certain things. Chinese food almost did me in the other night. Pretzels seem to be pretty hard on me and the dumplings Mr. P made the other night made my eye feel like it was about to explode.

I've convinced myself that it's time to go to the doctor and get a full work up done. Turning 30 as well as some other factors have me convinced I'm not as young as I once was. I constantly feel like I'm in a fog (only way I can describe it) and I've noticed some circulation issues. So it's off to the doctor I go. Once I make the appointment that is.

I've got some pretty big changes on the job front but I'm not blogging about that yet as I haven't gotten up the courage to make a few necessary steps. I should work on that.

We are settling in quite nicely in Florence and have even started thinking about looking for houses here. Now if we decide to buy instead of rent, well... I'm not sure we are quite there yet, but it wouldn't break our hearts to stay a while.

Things are good. Everyone is happy and (mostly) healthy. I guess that's about all we can ask for right? :)

tidbits. {an update}

There's a lot going on around here these days so today you get word vomit as I try to sort out what is in my head.

We trekked back up to Anderson the other day. Mr. P had to take care of a few things so BG and I decided to tag along. While he was tied up, we drove down to BG's old school to see everyone and to my old work to say hi. Being in the school was weird. It's amazing how quickly you go from being in the thick of things to being an outsider. And I don't mean that to say that anyone was rude, quite the opposite actually as they couldn't have been more excited to see us BG, but we don't fit into the "routine" anymore and no lie; that hurt a bit.

BG was a bit shy but soon warmed up and took off to her old classroom to see her buddies. It took less than five minutes for her buddy E to pull her onto her nap mat with her for a big 'ol snuggle. The lump in my throat might have been the size of Texas. Then there was Zo. I looked down to find the two of them forehead to forehead just grinning at each other. Melt. My. Heart.

It was hard. After talking to "Miss Britme" for a bit and hearing the stories of how BG's absence has affected the other two, my heart was more than a little bit sore. Truth be told it still is. It might have been too soon for a visit. It still hurts too bad.
Collage
But it was so good to see everyone, even if for just a few minutes. And it does have me aching to go back for some quality time. Stat. We did check out BG's favorite park while we were there and then ended the day with a picnic in the car while we waited for Dad to finish up. It was a good day.

There are so many other changes happening around here and it's starting to hurt my Mama heart a little bit that the days of BG and I being together 24/7 may be coming to an end. I'll have to write more on that later as I'm still wrestling to find my peace with all this and I'm not spilling my nonsense until at least I can make sense of it. I know that so many of these changes will be good for us both, but right now things are good with her and I and I'm not ready to rock the boat.

That's not to say that everything is perfect and sunshiney days over here, but it is more good than bad which kind of rocks.

BG has a new favorite cartoon, Super Why, and now I wonder why we didn't introduce that first. It is so much less annoying than Dora.

BG is working on her colors and shapes right now and she is rocking it. I couldn't be more proud of how hard she works to get things and I love hearing her name her colors (in English and Spanish) over and over. There's not much more gratifying than being the one who is teaching my little girl at the moment. I can't get enough of watching her learn.

BG spent the night over at Granny and Grandaddy's for the first time the other night. We packed up a little over night bag and took her over after dinner. I'm pretty sure Granny was the most excited one out of the bunch. We stuck around long enough to watch the fun of BG's first bubble bath in Granny's garden tub, but then we left leaving them to fend for themselves.

One would think that having a night to ourselves we would get a little crazy, but one would be wrong. Instead we curled up with a Sons of Anarchy marathon and were in bed by 10. Good grief we are old.

BG had a grand 'ol time but was asking to go home right after breakfast. Which was fine with the two of us as we missed her. We are such parents. But we just love being around her. We were both talking about her from the minute we woke us. She just brings so much joy (and noise) to both of us.

The night away was nice though, don't get me wrong. I have no problem with there being more of those.

We took BG to check out a few schools yesterday. I wish I could say it went well but it didn't. We did like one school but it has a super long waiting list which stinks. As we were getting ready, BG got so excited about going to school and making "new friends!". This is why I have to be okay with this; she needs this. It does her little social butterfly heart so good to be surrounded by kids her own age. I'm just going to miss her. But enough about that.

So we shopped for schools. BG was less than impressed that we didn't go to "Miss Britme"'s school. We are clearly still working on the we moved fact with her.

I think we're a bit caught up. Things are a little insane around these parts as our kitchen has been torn apart for two weeks for repairs (my blood pressure can't even handle me covering that subject) and my house is a disaster, but I know things will settle down soon. Or at least they better.

Oh, and while we're updating. This here blog now has a Facebook page. Because that seemed fun and might be a better way to update every now and then. So check it out and like it please. Keep me from feeling like a total tool ;)

31 days

text
There is a whole lot going on right now. Some good, some not so good. Unfortunately I tend to be getting a bit bogged down in the not so good which I am not a fan of. So let's stop that shall we.

When I opened my Reader this morning, I saw numerous posts linking back to the Nester and a 31 days link up. Curiosity quickly reeled me in and I rolled over to check things out. After flipping through the details, it came to me that this challenge could be as simple or as complicated as one makes it. And I decided to make it simple.

While there is so much going on right now and I feel at times that I'm drowning, life is still happening. My child is still hysterical, my husband is still coming up with off the wall sayings, and my friends are still a riot. The little things that I've always enjoyed are still there; I'm just covering them up a bit more than I used to. So my challenge? for the next 31 days is to just soak up the small things. To relish the sound of my child's laugh, or the smell of leaves when walking the dog. To enjoy a solitary run or a cheap thrill when landing a coveted item on big time clearance.

Each day I will be back, with my small item for that day. With the one thing that was able to make it all okay at least for a few minutes. It's time to savor the small joys. It's time to slow it down a bit.

I do hope you'll join me on this little blogging challenge. Go link up and check out the rest of the 31 Dayers.

After each post is written, I'll put the link here so they will all be in one place and easily accessible. Thanks for following along.

what we've been up to lately... {a catch up}

I feel like I've lost touch with blogging some which is weird because I'm still doing it. So I don't know where that comes from. I do think I've maybe slacked some on blogging the every day and I miss that. Shall we play catch up a bit then so that we can blog those little moments?

We shall.

BG is currently obsessed with accessories. That's actually nothing new though. And she has the oddest, but cutest taste. Currently it's a super cheap pair of flip flops I picked up at TJ Maxx before we went to the beach. She is obsessed with them. Like wants to wear them everywhere. It's a battle I'm not willing to fight so she usually has on her nice clothes with those flops. Yea. But she also likes bows and jewelry and, oh yea, crowns and wands. She's a mess.

These days are long. Sometimes super long. But at the same time, the years are flying by with a quickness. I don't always notice it so much until something small sneaks up on me. Like the gray all over my sweet pup's face. Didn't I just get her?!? How is she almost seven years old??
IMG_0835

The weather was really wonky for a while there and went back and forth from sweltering hot to freezing cold. Even hitting both extremes some days. We broke out the bubble early this year, back in April, and they haven't been put back since.
IMG_0845IMG_0852

Daddy gave BG a big 'ol pixie stick one afternoon. Went over like a fart in a diving helmet. Hours later when she collapsed I'm pretty sure I heard him mutter "never again". Not the best decision...
IMG_1075IMG_1076IMG_1074

At the beginning of the month, Mr. P bought the little one quite the little pool. I'm still not sure she knows quite what to make of it, but she's warming up to it. I sure hope this kid turns into a water baby. Mama loves the water so much.
IMG_1079IMG_1080IMG_1081IMG_1083

Afternoons are so nice that they are spent outside. Usually ending in this little one having to be drug inside because she just prefers the outdoors. Which is why she needs to like water. It's too hot to just hang out outside without the promise of a pool to cool down in.
IMG_1093IMG_1095IMG_1096

I mentioned that we went to BG's buddy Hayes' birthday party at the beginning of the month, but didn't show any pictures really. It was such a good time. We had fun on the drive down with Tiff and T and a blast with all the people at the party once we got there. And BG loved little Hayes. She just wanted to walk around with him. :)
IMG_1098IMG_1100IMG_1105IMG_1134IMG_1138IMG_1140IMG_1146

The other night, BG and I headed into town for a celebration in honor of Miss Mary Brooks. The evening was spent chatting with some of my absolute favorite ladies and watching our children, who used to just sit and stare at one another, interact and play with each other. And I got a glimpse of what life might look like with other kids in the house in watching BG and sweet Addison and Hudson run around together. They were a mess!

I'm so thankful for the friendships I've formed with these ladies. I just wish the visits were longer!

Clearly we've been busy. But it's summer time now. Surely this means things will slow down a bit now right?!

these days.

I did a post once documenting what our days were like when BG was younger. It's kind of fun to go back and look at what we were doing then.

Or at least I think it would be. I have no idea where that post is to be honest.

But for nostalgia's sake, lets just pretend that I'll know where this post is in a few weeks and write down what our days our like with our almost two year old.

Most of you know that I work part time. Which is nice and all, but I still work most days. And BG still is supposed to be in school by 9 am on days that she goes there. So that means at least four days out of the week, she's at school all day. Sad panda.

But it works.

Our days are insane but we've managed to get a good little schedule down. It's only taken us about six months. No biggie.

Monday is an early day for me. I wake up at 5:30 am (the first time) to shower and get ready and have some "me" time before I get BG up at 6:30. Now the little one is not a morning person by any means. It is rare that she gets up on her own on school days. Usually it is only if she hears her Daddy getting ready or isn't feeling well that she'll be up early. So I get her up, get her changed, and then set her down with breakfast and cartoons while I get us ready to leave.
IMG_9931

We leave the house by 7:30, drop her off, and then I'm at work by 8:00. Fun times.

I also get off early on Monday, around 3:30, so I pick her up early and we hit up the park or a store or something fun in the afternoon. Usually Mr. P works late on Mondays, but if not, we all eat dinner around 5:30/6 or so (we are OLD), followed by an evening walk, bath time for the little, and then bed about 7:30/8 or so.

The evenings are our time. We like that she goes to bed so early so we can get some decompression time at the end of the day. It works for us.

Wednesday and Thursday I let the little one sleep til about 8 or so, get up, get breakfast and then we leave to get her to school around 9. I come back to the house those days to finish getting ready then head to work til 5. I pick her up, we come home and play outside until dinner time.
IMG_9932

Friday mornings are the same, but I work late Fridays, so Mr. P picks up BG. They usually are playing and watching tv when I come home on Friday nights.

I'm off on Tuesdays. Sometimes I let BG sleep til about 8 and then Mr. P takes her to school. These mornings are my mornings. I keep her at school as long as I need to get whatever I need to done. Sometimes I pick her up before lunch, sometimes around 3. Either way when I pick her up, we hit up the park, or go do some shopping, or just come back to the house to play.

Most of the time on Tuesdays, she plays hooky from school and stays home with me. We play, we shop, we do playdates on these days and we love it. It's by far my favorite day with her. Something about having that day with her just makes my week even though I have the whole weekend with her.

We sleep late Saturdays and Sundays (til about 8:30/9; don't hate me. I know I'm lucky!). Saturdays are errand days, park days, shopping days, toddler activity days, whatever we can find to get into. She still naps about lunchtime so I get computer time, cleaning time, or just me time for about two hours. Sundays we go to church around 11, have lunch out, then she naps while we nap, or watch tv or something.
IMG_9933

Our days are full. There is always something going on. She's always got something at school, or Mr. P has something at work, or there's something going on at church. Some days I do not sit down until well after she goes to bed in the evening. Sometimes I'm so tired that I go to bed the minute she does. Some days our days are so busy that both she and I end up in tears as we rush, rush, rush around.

Fortunately I'm getting better at doing nothing at the times that is allowed. We're doing better at just hanging around the house some. We're getting better at enjoying our quiet time with books and tea parties.

Life with an almost two year old is busy. But I'm pretty sure it's about to get even busier soon!

giggles & tidbits.

Because of the issues with Blogger, this post got deleted on Wednesday. Since it puts a big 'ol smile in my face (rare today in the midst of a packing nightmare), I'm putting it back up. My girl thinks it's hilarious that she has stinky feet.. Silly.

So what else is going on here??

We're moving. Again.

Bah humbug.

I loathe packing. Loathe it. I get all gung ho about it at first, then it loses appeal and my house sits half packed/half unpacked. Because half of my stuff is in boxes laying all around, I can't really clean so it's a disaster of epic proportions here.

Good times.

Fortunately we're getting out of our too tiny two bedroom apartment with our animal hoarding, pot smoking neighbors (cranky much?) into a real house. With a real yard and everything!

Angels are singing.

In other not so funny but this is real life news, my child is on a nap strike. It's my own fault really. I got all cocky Mama on Twitter the other day with the "is it possible my child sleeps too much?" question, and then either my child read my tweets or one of my Twitter friends emailed her about what I said. Because currently? she doesn't sleep too much. In fact she's all "I'll show you" and isn't sleeping enough. And when someone doesn't sleep enough, someone gets whiny. Big time.

She is her mother's daughter.

Nothing makes packing even more joyous than a cranky baby. Le sigh.

But in YAY news; my kiddo is walking!!!

She's been taking steps for a few weeks now but would promptly sit down when she realized she wasn't holding on to anything. Well not anymore.

The other day while we were meeting at the new house with our new landlord, she simply let go of my fingers and walked to the lady. A good 10 + steps!! Then to the delight of all three of us, she just put on quite the show walking all over the place. She was so cute!!

Perhaps her new found mobility (which since returning to the apartment she only busts out when SHE wants to) is also screwing around with her sleep. Who knows.

I just want to be out of boxes. Good thing I kind of dig unpacking.

How do I just skip forward a few days and get to that part?!

in an instant.

I've been out of Savannah one day.

Back when I was in college, I had an awesome job at a huge retailer. What was odd about this store, was that it felt more like "family" than a job. My associates were amazing, my bosses rocked, and our store manager was awesome. I had a blast.

I worked there for three years, until I got married and moved to SC to be with Mr. Perfect.

Today I found out that my former store manager was killed on his way to work.

There's a lot of things that have happened recently, and oddly enough they involved this man, but today is not a day to dwell on those issues.

Today is a day that two teenage girls lost their father. A day that a wife lost her partner and best friend. That an older couple lost their son.

Today is just a sad day.

It honestly saddens me anytime that I hear of this sort of tragedy. I believe this man was a good man. Today is a day that a good man left behind his family.

So today is a day that I kiss and hug on my daughter more than she would like. Today is a day that I thank God for this time with my husband.

Because we are not promised tomorrow. It can be gone in an instant.

state of our union.

I am alive.

It was touch and go for a second there as I was almost completely buried alive by boxes.

Insane.

Most of you know, but those that don't, a while back Mr. Perfect got a new job in South Carolina. So a little over a month ago, he moved up there leaving BG and I by ourselves in Coastal Town. I didn't blog that fact because I didn't want to be a sitting duck for le internet crazies.

Being split into two households was not the most fun thing I've ever done. In that time, BG decided to cut two teeth, decide sleep was for the birds, and develop nighttime separation anxiety.

My sanity was questionable at best.

This past weekend, we loaded up the rest of le casa de Imperfect in Coastal Town, and Mr. P moved us into our temporary abode here in SC.

BG and I spent the last four days with my grandparents in Coastal Town while I finished up my notice at work and did some last minute business.

The little one decided she would not sleep in a pack-n-play while we were there so I spent two nights sleeping with her as she did her best impression of a fish out of water all night.

Good times.

Finally on Tuesday, I clocked out for the last time at my job, picked up BG from her sitter for the last time, and we hit the road to SC.

We're here now. Our first night was rough as poor little is so thrown off by all of this excitement, but last night, all three of us managed to get a bit of sleep which has worked wonders.

We are currently in a two bedroom apartment with two dogs and a cat. And about 3 dozen boxes. It's a bit cramped at best.

But I've already gotten ours and BG's room unpacked and managed to unearth my computer, so there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

So that's what's going on here.

Oh. And BG can pull herself up to a sitting position and yesterday started clapping. Just when you get really, really spent, you can look at her and she'll smile and start clapping.

I love her.

Hope all is well with y'all. Someday I hope to catch up on blogs, but I think the craziness is going to have to die down here a bit...

Weekend Wrap-Up

Yes, I know it's Wednesday. What can I say?

Friday I went out to eat with my good friend's KT & Turs. KT's little boy is taking his dear sweet time entering the world, so we took her out for a bit to try and take her mind off being 41 weeks pregnant.

I don't think it distracted her too much. But is there really a way to not think about the fact that you are that pregnant?!

Saturday I headed to yet one more baby shower. A girl that I work with is expecting her first child, a girl, in February. Our poor work place is going to be in quite the pickle when we are all out on maternity leave....

LS, EP, & I at her shower. This girl is tiny. She makes me a little sick. Just saying.....

Sunday, Mr. Perfect and I managed to make it to both church and Sunday School for the second week in a row. Kudos to this girl, because I sure do like that extra hour of sleep you get when you don't go to Sunday School. But I'm learning. The rest of the afternoon was spent shopping with AP. Exhausting. By six, I was dead on my feet and begging her to take me home. I think I was in bed at eight. Old I am.

This weekend, I bet you'll never guess what I'm doing...

A baby shower you say?

Well, you'd be right. Baby shower #3 that I've hosted actually. I should probably finish getting things ready huh?!

Hope you all are having a great week!

You Know The Drill..

It's that time again!! Time to play "Not Me Monday"! Go here for directions, but really you should be on this train by now!!

I did not skip the gym tonite in lieu of Mexican food and margaritas. Because not only would that be counterproductive, but just completely wrong!!

I did not get busted out in front of my whole entire family for something I've been able to keep a secret for a long, long, LONG time by my mother-in-law!! Seriously?!?

I did not follow a healthy eating pattern all weekend of salads and water only to turn around today and down a huge slice of pound cake! That could not have been me!!

I did not plan the schedule perfectly today to ensure that I would not end up with the Samoyed that bites. That would just be wrong!

I did not start my day off by arguing with the cable lady. Because that would be pointless. And my cable would still not be working. .:: ahem cable lady.. Still NOT working!! ::.

And I am not squeezing this post in two minutes before Tuesday.. I'm way more on top of things than that!!
