Golden Globes 2011

Last night I settled in for some one on one time with the pretties from the Golden Globes. It did not disappoint.

My favorite Twitter gals and I were discussing our picks for best dressed last night and it led to many different picks and some quite unanimous ones. While some of the award winners left me feeling blue (no love for Cameron or my Modern Family?!), others made me smile big (yay Natalie and Colin!). All in all I added quite a few movies to my must see list and was not disappointed in the fashion.

Claire Danes in Calvin Klein Collection. I love everything about this look. Hair, makeup, jewelry, gorgeous husband on her arm. She nailed it.


Julie Bowen in Tadashi Shoji. I love her. She's absolutely gorgeous to me and this dress is stunning.


Emma Stone in Calvin Klein Collection. I have no idea why I love this so much, but I do. It is gorgeous on her. She's a knockout. It kind of looks like the t-shirt version of an evening dress. I love it more every single time I look at it.


Eva Longoria in Zac Posen. Somewhere Tony Parker is kicking himself...


Lea Michele in Oscar de la Renta. Not a fan of the hair, but the dress is great on her. Such a good color for her skin tone.


January Jones in Versace. I know, I know, but something about this dress makes me scream "Fantastic!". She looks awesome. A bit controversial, but hey, people are talking about her aren't they?


Anne Hathaway in Giorgio Armani Privé. This dress got the brush off by many, but I love it. It's actually in my top two favorite looks. I love the dress, the hair; she looks simply amazing.


Mila Kunis in Vera Wang. Fabulous. Fabulous color, cut, hair. I'm a huge fan of the a brunette in the emerald green and this is a prime example of why. She's never looked better.

Bummed.

I managed to find the perfect Easter dress the other day at Macy's.

I also managed to find the perfect shoe.

They just didn't have it in my size. I then headed to Belk's. Still no luck. They didn't even have the shoe.

Of couse I played around and now it's too late to order them off the internet and still have them here for Easter. A trip to Dillard's proved just as frustrating as the one to Belks.

Oh Savannah, I do heart you but your lack of good stores is seriously cramping my style.

I guess it just wasn't meant to be...



But oh how I heart these!

Hemlines....

I've been doing some hardcore minor online shopping today. Just browsing looking for cute summer dresses. It's so hot here in the summer that you need light, breezy clothes to survive.

That doesn't mean I want just a couple inches of fabric to cover myself with thank you!!

I mean seriously?! What is up with the hemlines this year? I'm not even sure you can call most of the dresses I've seen today dresses. You should call them tablecloths. Oh no.. table runners!

I'd like my butt covered up please.

I'm 5'8 people. Not a giant per se but throw a tall girl with long legs a bone please!!

Thank goodness for the maxidress....

Funniest thing a man said today.

A woman dropped off her cat this morning for treatment. We're talking a 16 year old, sick, cat. He's cranky, old, grouchy, ugly.. but clearly loved.

Or at least by the woman.

This afternoon she sends her husband to pick him up. This was after she called multiple times to check on "Stormy". He gets there, checks out, our receptionist brings him the cat and asks,

"Is there anything else I can get for you or Stormy today?"

Man looks right back at her and says,

"I'm good. But he could use a coffin."

I cracked up. I don't even know why that's so funny to me. Goes to show you what a man will do for his wife though!!

Also- Thank you Dancing with the Stars for finally getting rid of the "Woz". While endearing he was just getting harder and harder to watch. Let's keep up with the good eliminations by getting rid of Megan tomorrow!!

My muscles are on fire!

Well I did it.. I finally joined the gym!! If you know me I am a HORRIBLE dieter!! I've always been an athlete so I've always eaten more than my fair share just to maintain my weight. So I've never had to diet. However, now that I'm A) 26, B) no longer a college soccer player, and C) freakin' lazy, I can't quite do that eating everything in sight thing anymore! I also stink at diets because I HATE fruits and vegetables!! I know, I know. It's sad actually. I'll eat pasta and meat all day because it's what I'm used to but hand me a raw vegetable and I'll more than likely pass out before eating! I'm still a runner but I don't even do that quite like I should anymore. So. To the gym I went. I've gone two days in a row (that deserves some applause people!!) and so far I love it! I think I'll continue to as long as I have someone to go with me. The past two nites, my great friend KT has gone with me and the time has flown by because we simply gossiped the whole time! (Don't worry.. we busted it in between laughter!) I signed Mr. Perfect up tonite as well.. Don't tell him yet. I'll have to break that one gently =). Even though my legs felt like jello at work all day, and a mastiff almost pulled me down because of that, I think I'll stick with it. We did arms tonite so I hope I don't have to pick anyone up tomorrow! Wish me luck that I stick with it. Encouragement is much appreciated!

I'm not going to talk about the inauguration, well not the inauguration itself anyway, but what did everyone think about Michelle Obama's clothes last nite? I liked the yellow outfit but hated the green accessories. I loved her gown last nite, but thought it made her look bigger than she is. Not going to lie, I remember more about the clothes than anything else!

It just about killed me to not talk politics just now so I think I'll stop while I'm ahead and sign out! Please continue to pray for Harper Stamps.. Go read her updates, our prayers are working!!

I have a problem..

I am obsessed with clothes. Seriously, it's a problem. And on Friday's it's my job to sit here for 8 hours and answer the phone. Which leaves me with a lot of time on the computer. Which usually ends up with a huge hit on my bank account.. Oh help! Oh wait! I just saw Forever21 is having a huge sale!!
