Has anyone else noticed that Simon Cowell is most def wearing eye liner on Idol?! And that Ellen has scary eyes?
No? That's just me. Whatever.
Being 33 1/2 weeks pregnant has made a huge change in my life. I have a new bed. I miss you Mr. Perfect, but our recliner is my new best friend. Best baby purchase ever, hands down.
My dogs are really stressing me out at the moment. Please tell me that gets better when the baby gets here. Because right now I'm freaking out that I won't be able to handle them and her. Gah.
I am very uncomfortable at work. Come on maternity leave.....
We got a little spring teaser this week and now it's blame cold again. Come on warm weather. I cannot take it much longer!
We had another doctors appointment this past Tuesday. My baby has a head full of hair (you can see it floating in the fluid and that is so weird), her chubby cheeks are even chubbier, and she has the cutest little mouth and nose. Oh I love her!! However, she needs to chill out on the growing. She gained 7 ounces bringing her up to 5 pounds 11 ounces already. And she still has a big 'ol head. Ouch. Her stress test went ok. My appointment was right at lunch time so I hadn't eaten in a while, so she was pretty tired. We had to pull every trick in the book (caffeine, the buzzer, crackers) to get her moving. She definitely gets her desire to sleep honestly. Somebody's like their mother! But she did great. This little girl is getting ready to make her appearance!
Hope y'all are having a great week!

tuesday tidbits
First off, you guys rock with all the recipe suggestions! Now.. to just try one. Yikes. =)
I have given myself a claw hand from far too many hours on Beatles Rockband. I need to find a more productive way to spend my afternoons. And evenings.
Dancing with the Stars is back. Yay! But Donnie Osmond? Gag me with a spoon. I really don't know if I can handle another episode with him. I think I'm going to have too though. Boo.
It's baby shower fever time here in my area of town and I'm going crazy trying to keep decorations, food, gifts and all for the two I'm throwing separate. It looks like a Babies-r-us threw up in our living room. Nice analogy huh?
The Marine is in town and the two of us are headed to our high school alma mater for a game Friday nite. Should be quite the time. Except that I went to high school in a one stop light town where everyone knows everyone and I usually hate running into tons of people I know. Yea. I'm weird, but I feel like I have to make conversation and gah.. I stink at that.
That's about it. I'm going to get ready for bed and watch my tv in bed tonite. I love Fall tv!

rainy saturday random thoughts...
It is raining. Again. It has rained basically every afternoon this week. What is the deal? Is this Florida?!
Lately I've been having to get my medication filled at the pharmacy in the hospital. I prefer the Walgreens by my house. They are friendly, efficient, and always have my prescriptions ready when they say they will. The hospital pharmacy? Not so much. Last week Mr. Perfect and I drove all the way to the other side of town to pick up a medication. They didn't have it. So we tracked the 20 or so minutes back home, through traffic, with no medication. I called the doctor's office the next morning to get them to call it in again. They did. Turns out it was on the pharmacy voicemail and they hadn't checked it all day. Not my problem. Check your voicemail. Last night? Same exact thing. I got there at just after five. Nothing ready for me. These are meds that I HAVE to have. That I needed that night. They can't find it anywhere. Funny how five people came in after me, all who had left voicemails, and they couldn't find any one's prescription. The staff there is the most incompetent group of people ever. I never did get my meds last night. Not a happy camper.`
Last Sunday when I got home from my soccer game, the Mr. had completely redone the living room. It's taken a week but it's growing on me. I'll have to get some pictures and put them on here. He really did manage to rearrange the furniture to where the whole room seems a whole lot more open. It really does a lot for the room.
How am I just now discovering the Tori Spelling tv show?!? I absolutely love it! Her children are complete dolls and I really like her and her husband. I'm surprised by that. I used to think she was super annoying.
I'm reading 'The Time Traveler's Wife' again to get ready for the movie. I really cannot wait for it to come out. Of course I also said that about 'Harry Potter' and 'My Sister's Keeper' and have yet to see either one. Guess I'll be waiting for NetFlix!
Things in our little household are still very much up in air. We're doing great, but are still in need of serious prayer. Thanks for checking in with us. I will definitely blog more when I can. Have a great weekend all!

Week(end) Wrap-Up
I think my whole week last week kind of ended up blurring together. Could be because I spent it in a food coma.
My aunt ASC and uncle DC came into town last weekend from the great state of Texas. So my grandmother outdid herself with food, desserts, drinks, everything. Seriously, you can look at my waistline for proof. It has expanded.
I spent the week getting off work and heading to the g-parents for food. Ok and good company, but you know... I loved getting to hang out with ASC. She's my dad's younger sister and truly isn't that much older than me so we have a ton in common. Her new husband, DC, is awesome and really brings out such a joy in her that I haven't seen in a while. He gets my vote.
What a cute couple =)

Mr. Perfect and I after dinner one night

DC has a daughter from his first marriage who was in town as well. She spent most of the week spending time with her mom, but Friday she came out to the house for dinner. Well, and her Sweet Sixteen party and presents.
I'm so excited about EC (DC's daughter) joining the family too. The Marine and I do not have any cousins on our Dad's side, so we'll take her. Better late than never right? I got EC a scarf from Forever 21 and some necklaces and such. I had no idea what she liked (I'd never met her), but I figure you can't go wrong with giving a girl accessories! The Marine made it into town on Friday to see ASC and DC before they left. Of course we rolled out the red carpet for the chosen child's return.
I kid. =)
Kind of.
EC and her cake

After cake and ice-cream (insert waistline expanding), we dragged everyone outside for some family pictures. Never an easy task.
The Marine and I with our grand's.

family.

cousins. yay!

They told us to take a ridiculous picture. This is all we've got.

EC & I. She's a mess. All week long I heard how much she reminded everyone of me at that age. Her poor parents. They should call mine for some advice.

Saturday was spent trying to recover from our insane week. I did some housecleaning and Mr. Perfect worked in the yard. Saturday night we curled up and watched "Confessions of a Shopaholic" (not impressed) and "The Kingdom" (I actually really liked). Sunday I wasn't feeling well, my new medication is killing my stomach, so we slept late and missed church. Oops. Mr. Perfect invited my g-parents over for dinner to thank them for cooking for us all week. I have mentioned that I have the best guy ever right?!
Sunday night, I took Duke and Lacy for a run. I hadn't ran all week so I was kind of dreading it, but it was awesome. I didn't time myself, we just hit the pavement and ran. The wind was blowing, sun was shining, and both my pups were happy as can be. It was one of those runs that reminds me why I love running. Ahh... bliss.
We spent the rest of the night watching Season 1 of True Blood. We're almost done. I'm reading the books at the same time and keep getting confused between where I'm at with the two. But I LOVE the books! Good call Kate and MM! I am so glad I listened to you ladies!!
Now I'm sucked into watching this trainwreck better known as the Bachelorette finale. Is it weird that I never watch any of the episodes from this crazy franchise except for the finales?! I freakin' love them. I'm chalking it up to morbid curiosity, but I can't stop watching! Who are you ladies pulling for?

rain makes me lazy.
I have not ran since Saturday. I am so lazy.
In my defense, it's raining cats and dogs outside and I spent a good portion of my day at the doctor's office. After not eating all morning. Have you seen me when I've skipped a meal?! Think snakes.. coming out of my head.
I'm Southern. I like my food.
My glucose experience was not as bad as it could be. I got there pretty early, just about 4 or 5 people ahead of me. They all got in and out pretty quickly. Except for these 2 young women and a little boy. Who almost didn't live to see another day.
You know the kid. The one screaming and running around Will Ferrell style.
*I think I just wanted a reason to watch that clip*
Seriously though, this kid was throwing himself over chairs, climbing in peoples faces, and the women just watched.
He approached me once. Remember, snakes.....
I did almost lose it after drinking that orange crap (you can't even call it juice, because that's not fair to all the juices out there). But the lady told me if I did *ahem puke, that I'd have to start all over.
Give me that junk lady. I was not staying a second longer with Will.
I managed to "work" the rest of the day. Well really I watched the MJ memorial all day. Not even touching that subject, except that his daughter about made me break down. It really comes down to the fact that those kids lost their father.. A complete heart break.
Even though I'm not convinced those are her kids. Have you seen them?!?
This is all over the place because I'm tired. Heading to a funeral tomorrow for D's grandmother. Then hitting the road running. Literally. I've got to stop being so lazy.

exhausted.
Our church is having revival this week and we have a youth choir in town for the event. The youth choir is actually from the church Mr. Perfect grew up in, so it's been fun having them, a few adults from the church, and his old pastor in town. There's well over 50 kids and they are all staying with members of our church. Mr. Perfect and I are keeping two 15 year old girls.
I am exhausted.
I swear I slept more when I was their age. We picked them up and they have been nonstop since Sunday night. In the car as they're steady jabbering away in the backseat, Mr. Perfect looks over and whispers to me "I am in Hell". Of course he was kidding and we're surviving quite nicely. Our girls are dolls and so much fun. Just exhausting.
So not much time to blog this week. Hope you're all having a great one!
Oh! What did everyone think of Jon & Kate last night? So sad. It's a shame really...

how did we not know about this?
How are the Mr. and I so behind on this?!
We signed up, ok he did, on Saturday. There were movies waiting for me when I got home today.
It's like Christmas.
We just watched "Taken". Absolutely fantastic movie. If you don't agree.. you should watch it again, because clearly you didn't pay enough attention the first time.
I kid...
I quickly signed up to get the first season of True Blood. I simply have to see what all the fuss is about! I plan on hibernating this weekend in front of the television.
Kind of like last weekend. Geez. I'm getting lazy!
In Fit Train news, I have a training program that I started on Monday and so far so good.
It is only Tuesday though...
Two miles on Monday, elliptical today, and back out for two more miles tomorrow. Got to start somewhere right?!?
My pup went to the doctor and has a UTI. Why did I laugh when the doc said that?! Because I am a child and thought back to what Cosmo so clearly states; you should use the bathroom after *ahem intercourse to prevent uti's.
Clearly Duke didn't get the memo.
And if that's not true and I really didn't read that, well don't tell me. I really can't believe I'm still talking about this...

Weekend Wrap-Up
First off.. Thank you all so much for the sweet comments on my post yesterday!! You guys make my day! And honestly, I don't EVER talk about these issues in real life. I keep a very low profile with this and most of the people that I encounter on a daily basis have absolutely no clue that we are going through any of this. This blog has become my outlet and I can't say enough how thankful I am for you ladies and your constant support!! Thank you for listening because it truly does mean tons to me!!
That said. We had an awesome weekend and so relaxing....
Friday nite the Marine and Lora came over for some Wii time. So after spending a good 2 hours doing the dance pad, I decided that the Marine and Lora simply had to try the Shred. The Marine had been making fun of me all nite because I kept complaining about how bad my quads hurt (we're talking hemorrhaging of the quadriceps here people!) so I basically told him to put his money where his mouth was. They got beat down..
Saturday the hubs let the dogs outside when he left for work so I GOT TO SLEEP IN!!!! Never happens because they always wake you up at the crack of dawn! I do love that man... Of course I slept way too late to be productive but what are you gonna do?!
A good friend of mine, KW, and her husband just found out that they're having a little girl (yay!) in September, so I packed up Saturday afternoon and spent the day painting little Gabby's nursery.
(Sidenote: Mr. Perfect swears he doesn't "watch" my shows when they're on, but that he's just in there with me. So the other day I tell him that KW is naming the baby Gabrielle and calling her Gabby. Without missing a beat the Mr. goes "Oh.. a Desperate Housewives fan huh?". Busted buddy.)
Now I absolutely hate painting. It's right up there with walking on hot coals, but it was so good to hang out with some old friends again!!
My dog is snoring his everloving head off right now and is making it super hard to write.
Saturday nite, the Mr. wanted to catch up on some tv shows and sleep, so I headed out with Turstal for dinner. Such a fun time!! Her brother's girlfriend came with us and we spent hours cracking up and eating.
Turstal, Lindsay, and I after dinner...

Saturday nite the Mister and I got zero sleep. See, the Mister has sleep apnea something fierce. He tried the machine (not even going to try and remember the name) once before with no luck. Well the doctor is making him try it again and it's not working so well. Basically it blows air the wrong way the whole time, so instead of helping him, it keeps waking him up. And it's blowing freakin' cold air on me. We woke up Sunday exhausted and in super fun moods. Right.
We got up in time for Sunday School but didn't make it. It honestly felt like we were getting hit by the devil from every angle to keep us out of church Sunday morning. But we made it. Tired, bedraggled, and with big 'ol circles under our eyes, but we made it. And the service was just what we both needed so I'm so glad we won that little battle.
We did absolutely zero activity the rest of the day. The Mister came home and passed out. I came home andwatched sobbed my way through my DVR'd Grey's finale. Ohmygosh. When the Mister woke up I was crying so hard I could barely breathe. I couldn't even tell him what happened so we went back to the couch and I made him watch it. Freakin' cried my eyes out AGAIN!! Not even an hour later!! So was not expecting that!!
I can't even talk about it...
Sunday nite I met my friend Shanon for dinner. She's moving back to San Diego today and I'm so bummed! She's such a sweetheart and has been such a great sounding board to me this past year. She's truly been like a (tiny version) older sister to me and I'm going to miss her tons.. But.. now I have a reason to head to the great state of California!!
Shans and I after dinner...

And I know I look like a big 'ol monster in that photo, but she's really, really small!! I promise!!
The Mr. left this morning to head to Boston for a week for work. Boo.. But at the same time I get to live my "secret life" for a week!! Lots of cleaning (I do love it!) without having someone come right back behind me, lots of cheesy tv, ice cream for dinner, and sleeping with the pup in the bed! Shh....

Ramblin'...
I had my follow up appointment from surgery on Friday. I'll do a post on that later, but I did get cleared for activity again. Headed to the gym tonite, and my ab muscles are on fire!!! I was hurting. Two weeks off does not an easy workout make. At all. But I was desperately missing my gym time.
How come while I was gone from the gym they lost the ability to turn on the air? It was a sauna today.
You should head on over to Mrs. Newlywed's blog for a sweet little giveaway. Check it out. I know I'm a huge fan of anything personalized and paper!!
What happened on DWTS last nite?! I mean, I'm a huge Ty fan, but the boy has tapped out. He's reached his peak and should have gone home!!! I don't think Lil Kim was going to win anyway though, so maybe it doesn't matter...
American Idol- I am not a fan right now. Really blows for Danny and Kris that they pulled a rock theme this close to the end. They're just not rockers!! I totally felt like last nite Idol pulled out all the stops to promote Adam and Allison. Not a fan. And oh Danny... what did you do to my beloved Aerosmith last nite?!?
I made my first ever J.Crew purchase the other day and got the goods today. I know, I know... so behind the times. I got two cute summer dresses that I can't wait to wear. So far.. first experience deserves an A+.
I started this a while ago but haven't posted yet, but I'm opening the floor for any questions you have for this girl. My creative juices are spent right now so... It's down to this. So ask away! Seriously. Because if you don't, my feelings will be hurt... =)

Good Move?
I know I'm probably one of like 12 people that still watch Desperate Housewives. I just don't understand why you would kill off Edie?! I loved her!!

Sounds like she's not crying in her cereal about it though...
Not cool with ending the article on the tramp comment Marc Cherry... That "tramp" leaving might make your show way more boring...
