Finally. After days of miserable tummy time experiences, I wised up. I've started putting Baby Girl with her chest on the Boppy to see if that would help her enjoy it anymore.
Well today I took the Boppy away and someone held their head up and their chest off the ground for a few seconds!!
I have proof but can't get my pictures to download.
Of course.
But I'm so proud of her! She's getting so strong. She's also started pulling herself forward at the waist when shes in her swing. It's real cute except that she can't get herself back upright so she gets pretty upset at being stuck bent in half. She's too strong for her own good!
I'll get proof as soon as Mr. Perfect hooks me up with a new card reader.
Ahem....

dancing queen
Baby Girl loves music. Every time there was music playing while she was in the womb, she went nuts. She still does.
The other day I left her with my grandparents for a few hours so I could run some errands. I was trying to get her to go to sleep before I left, so I turned on country music videos.
Baby Girl took that as her invitation to stay up and dance. Forget nap time. It was boogie time.
(the first 20 seconds is the best, and you might have to turn up the volume, but it's so cute I had to share!)
I so love this girl..

prayers needed.
In January of 2009, a girl commented on my blog and a friendship was formed. Megan actually became my first real friend I made out of blogging and I love her to death. Megan and I actually had similar issues that led to infertility issues and we talked at length about what was going on. I had a surgery in April of '09 that Megan had had in November of '08 and she talked me through every little detail. We soon began emailing, texting, or blog commenting every day.
We talked each other through every step we took to try and get pregnant. I think she knows more about my journey than most of my IRL friends know. And she was one of the first people I shared my news that I was pregnant with. A few months later we got to celebrate again when she found out she was pregnant.
We both have miracle babies. Babies that took a lot of extra work and love to get here. They are so, so precious. And Megan's baby Cohen needs that extra love to keep on coming. As of now, he's stable but he is still in critical condition. My heart literally breaks for this family. But they are so strong. I covet your prayers for them. I pray God heals this child and puts him in his mother's arms where he belongs. I pray that God continues to give strength to Megan and her husband Brent. I pray that He gives their families the strength to continue to be strong for Megan, Brent, and especially Cohen. If you have a minute, just say a quick word for them. Or hop on over to this site and see what else you can do to help.
Megan was an amazing friend and such a support to me through my past pregnancy loss history and through my pregnancy with Baby Girl and I'm at a loss to what I can do for her now and I hate that. But we can all pray. This little man is a fighter, but he needs some back up. So come on prayer warriors, it's time for us to hit our knees!

10 weeks
It seems like at this point, my little girl changes so much every week. Just this past week she has hit so many little milestones. I really wish she'd slow down on this growing thing...
She no longer wants to be held in a cradle hold unless shes super tired. She wants to sit up and look around. If you hold her in the cradle hold she gets super mad. Where is my baby?!?
She has been grabbing at the toys on her playmat for a couple of weeks, but now she grabs them and pulls herself slightly up with them.
She puts her feet down and pushes her back off the ground. I see rolling over in her very near future.
She wants to grab everything and everything makes its way into the mouth. Especially her clothes. She grabs the hem of her dress constantly and puts it in her mouth. We're going to have to work on that flashing thing...
She "talks" all the time. She lays in her crib and talks when she's supposed to be sleeping. Yet one more thing to keep her from taking a nap!!
She is a drooling machine. Like she seriously looks like a rabid dog about 98 % of the time. We have to keep a bib on her or just have a soaking wet outfit.
And finally.. she will now support herself on her legs if you hold her up! And then she bounces up and down. It's truly amazing people.
Such a big week at our house. We get nothing done anymore because we just want to watch her. She prefers it that way too. =)
And just because I didn't post them...
